Role Description The Senior Project Manager will lead end-to-end project planning and execution for Iron and Steel and related construction-focused initiatives at Jai Balaji Group’s Durgapur site. This full-time, on-site role involves defining project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans, while coordinating with engineering, production, procurement, logistics, and inspection teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with quality and safety standards.

The Senior Project

Manager will oversee expediting activities, monitor project progress, address risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost targets.

Responsibilities also include stakeholder communication, preparing status reports, driving process improvements,



and aligning project outcomes with organizational strategic objectives. The role requires hands-on leadership on the shop floor and in operational areas, ensuring strong collaboration between cross-functional teams and external partners.

Qualifications

- Robust project leadership skills, including Project Management experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or construction environments.
- Expediting and Expeditor experience to drive timely procurement, vendor follow-up, and delivery of materials and equipment.
- Inspection and quality oversight skills to ensure adherence to technical specifications, safety norms, and regulatory requirements.
- Logistics Management capabilities to coordinate transportation, inventory, and site readiness for seamless project execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline; postgraduate qualifications or certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are an advantage.
- Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably within the Iron and Steel or infrastructure sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams on-site.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in project management tools and MS Office.
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement in processes and practices.
