Job Summary

Responsible for the mechanical assembly, fitting, alignment, testing, installation and commissioning of Special Purpose Machines (SPM) as per engineering drawings and quality standards. Hands-on experience with machine components, precision fitting and pneumatic systems is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Assemble SPM machines, fixtures and mechanical sub-assemblies as per engineering drawings.
- Read and understand 2D mechanical drawings, assembly drawings and BOMs.
- Perform mechanical fitting, drilling, tapping and machine alignment.
- Assemble linear guides, ball screws, bearings, shafts, gearboxes, motors and cylinders.
- Install and connect pneumatic components such as cylinders, FRL units, valves, fittings and tubing.
- Perform machine leveling, alignment, clearance and dimensional checks.
- Use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Support machine trial runs, debugging and troubleshooting.
- Assist in machine installation and commissioning at customer sites when required.
- Coordinate with Design,



Electrical, PLC and Production teams during machine assembly.
- Identify mechanical problems during machine trials and support corrective actions.
- Maintain proper tools, equipment and assembly work area.
- Follow company quality, safety and housekeeping standards.
