About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Assembly Supervisor to lead the mechanical assembly, testing and on-site installation of our machines at our Pune facility. You will run the assembly bay day to day - planning the work, guiding a team of fitters and technicians, and making sure every machine leaves the floor built right and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and supervise daily assembly activities against the production schedule and delivery commitments
- Read and interpret assembly and GA drawings, BOMs, and pneumatic/hydraulic circuit diagrams
- Lead a team of fitters, technicians and helpers - allocate work, track progress and maintain discipline on the shop floor
- Carry out sub-assembly and final assembly, including alignment, levelling and fitment of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components
- Coordinate with design, purchase, quality and stores to resolve part shortages, drawing discrepancies and fitment issues
- Conduct in-house trials, dry runs and pre-dispatch inspection - record and close all observations
- Travel to customer sites for machine installation, commissioning, trial runs and operator handover
- Maintain assembly checklists, work instructions, job cards and daily production reports
- Enforce 5S, safety and quality standards in the assembly area
- Train junior technicians and drive improvements in assembly method and cycle time

Required Qualifications
- Diploma or ITI in Mechanical / Fitter / Tool & Die (B.E. Mechanical also welcome)




- 5+ years in machine assembly with a special purpose machine (SPM), automation or capital equipment manufacturer, including at least 2 years supervising a team
- Solid drawing reading skills - GA, fabrication and assembly drawings, tolerances, fits and basic GD&T;
- Hands-on experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, linear guides, ball screws, couplings and drives
- Confident with measuring instruments - vernier, micrometer, dial gauge, height gauge and spirit level
- Willing to travel to customer sites across India for installation and commissioning
- Able to communicate clearly in Marathi or Hindi and working English, and write simple reports

Good to Have
- Exposure to servo and VFD driven machines and basic electrical panel wiring
- Experience with SPMs, assembly lines, material handling systems or test rigs
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or AutoCAD for viewing 3D models and drawings
- ERP experience for job cards, BOM and material issue
