We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to perform deep technical analysis of a set of enterprise applications. The role focuses on application-level discovery, source code analysis, data model assessment, integration mapping, and creation of technical assessment artifacts.

The role will leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted software engineering techniques to accelerate understanding of existing applications and identify technical, functional, and data-level consolidation opportunities as part of PETRONAS' application harmonization initiative.

Key Responsibilities

- Use GitHub Copilot to rapidly understand unfamiliar codebases and application architectures.
- Perform repository-level discovery and identify:
- Core business capabilities
- Application modules
- Service boundaries
- Integration patterns
- API contracts
- Technical dependencies

- Reverse-engineer legacy or poorly documented applications.
- Generate and validate architecture documentation, sequence flows, and technical artifacts using AI-assisted analysis.
- Analyze source code to identify:

- Duplicate functionality
- Reusable patterns
- Technical debt
- Refactoring opportunities
- Consolidation candidates

- Use Copilot/AI tools for:

- Data model discovery
- Entity relationship analysis
- Business rules extraction
- Data lineage identification
- Integration mapping





- Translate repository insights into architecture artifacts and application harmonization recommendations.
- Apply AI-assisted engineering techniques responsibly and validate findings through architectural review and technical judgment.

Required Skills

- 8–12 years of application development and technical leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in one or more of:
- .NET
- Java
- Angular / React
- Microservices Architecture
- REST APIs

- Robust SQL and database analysis skills.
- Experience with application integration and API ecosystems.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git repositories, and DevOps practices.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or equivalent AI-assisted development tools.
- Ability to quickly understand large and complex enterprise applications.
- Experience creating architecture diagrams, data models, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of application modernization and application portfolio rationalization.
- Experience performing code-level and database-level assessments.

Preferred Skills

- Oil & Gas domain experience.
- SAP integration experience.
- Experience with application consolidation, harmonization, or modernization programs.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and application portfolio management.
