Job Title: Android Developer

Location: India (Remote)

Hire Type: Fulltime

Working Hours: 3:00 pm – 12:00 am OR 4:00 pm – 1:00 am IST

Note: There will be early morning or late-night meetings every week.

Job Summary:

As an Android Mobile Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the client Android application, ensuring compatibility with recent Android updates, addressing customer issues, and implementing recent features.

Should have relevant experience or knowledge in the following areas:

- Knowledge in GitHub co-pilot for coding and code review process.
- Knowledge of Jira for ticket management.
- Knowledge of confluence for documentation will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Study existing source code to understand the architecture and key components of the client Android app
- Document the application architecture, code execution flow, and external dependencies
- Make necessary updates to ensure compatibility with recent Android OS versions
- Address customer issues and implement improvement requests
- Implement and integrate new features developed by the client
- Collaborate with the QA team to ensure thorough testing of new implementations




- Participate in Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, and Sprint Reviews
- Support deployment of both beta and general availability versions of the app.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum of 6 years of experience developing Android applications utilizing Java and/or Kotlin programming languages
- Experience with RxJAVA and MVVM architecture
- Familiarity with third-party integrations including social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, SoundCloud)
- Experience with Firebase services such as Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging, App Distribution and so on
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Android applications (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions)
- Understanding of Google Play Console deployment processes
- Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with audio and video processing applications is a plus
- Familiarity with audio/video streaming technologies is a plus
- Experience with maintaining and updating mobile applications which have large user base (more than 100K Monthly Active User)
