Role Overview:
We are seeking an AI Engineer with hands-on experience in Multimodal Vision LLMs, Document AI/OCR, and Python CAD pipelines. You will design, build, and deploy intelligent extraction engines that transform engineering drawings (DXF, DWG, PDF) and construction schedule tables into structured, actionable data schemas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect multimodal pipelines leveraging LLMs (Gemini Pro Vision, GPT-4o, Claude) and Document OCR engines (PaddleOCR, EasyOCR, Surya)
to extract structural schedules (BBS, column/beam tables).
- Implement robust structured outputs and validation layers using Pydantic and function-calling schemas.
- Collaborate with computational geometry modules (ezdxf, shapely) to reconcile probabilistic vision outputs with deterministic CAD geometry.
- Build high-performance visual tiling, window-slicing, and multi-scale image-cropping algorithms (using OpenCV, PyMuPDF) for large-format (A0/A1) engineering blueprints.
- Deploy scalable inference microservices using FastAPI, Celery, and Docker on cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of production experience in Applied AI/ML or Computer Vision engineering.
- Languages & Frameworks: Expert in Python; strong proficiency with PyTorch, OpenCV, LangChain/LlamaIndex, and FastAPI.
- Vision & Extraction: Proven track record in Document AI, layout detection, table extraction, and Vision-Language Models (VLMs).
- CAD/Spatial Awareness (Bonus): Familiarity with vector geometries, Shapely, or CAD parsing libraries (ezdxf).
- Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related technical disciplines.
