- Innovation (Technical Focus)

- Recent Product Launches

: Lead the design and configuration of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials for new drug launches (OSD, Injectables, Sterile, Topicals &
- Cosmetics).

- Technical Documentation: Oversee and approve Master Packaging Cards (MPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and packaging material specifications in SAP.

- Machine-Material Interfacing: Co-ordinate for machine trials and ensure material compatibility with high-speed blister packing, strip packing and injectable lines.

2. Sourcing &

- Vendor Management (Procurement Focus)

- Alternate Vendor Development (AVD): De-risk supply chain bottlenecks by actively evaluating, auditing, and onboarding alternate global and local packaging suppliers.

- Cost Optimization: Lead value engineering and cost-reduction projects through vendor consolidation, material substitution

- Supplier Governance: Draft Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitor supplier key performance indicators (KPIs), and manage risk mitigation strategies for single-source dependencies.

3. Regulatory, Quality, and Artwork Compliance

- Regulatory Audits: Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and Regulatory Affairs (RA) to verify that all packaging components strictly meet global pharmacopoeia standards.

- Artwork Management: Supervise the workflow and approval protocols of localized, multi-lingual, and anti-counterfeiting elements integrated onto cartons, labels,



and foils.

- Production &
- Market Complaints

: Investigate stability failures, primary container leakages, or packaging-related market complaints, implementing rigorous Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

4. Sustainability &

- Green Initiatives

- Eco-friendly Standards: Head organizational strategies to adopt recyclable materials, reduce Plastic Waste Management (PWM) impacts, and integrate biodegradable alternatives into commercial pack styles.

5. Leadership &

- Team Management

- Cross-functional Alignment: Act as the technical liaison between BD, R&D;, Corporate Purchase, Manufacturing Plants, PPIC, Quality Control, and CQA.

- Mentorship: Direct, manage, and upskill a high-performing team of packaging technologists, purchase managers, and design executives across multiple manufacturing sites.

Key Technical &

- Behavioral Skills

- Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of specialized materials like Cosmetics Packaging, Tubes, Cold Form Blister Foil, PVC/PVDC films, Glass vials/ampoules/bottles , HDPE bottles, and Multi-layered laminates.

- Regulatory Insights: Thorough command over EU-GMP, and ICH guidelines governing primary packaging extractables, leachable, and stability requirements.

- Software Tools: Proficiency in SAP S4 HANA, CRM, Power BI, Microsoft and artwork management platforms Harmony.

- Core Competencies: Strategic negotiation, high-stakes project management, and rapid troubleshooting on the shop floor.
