About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and result-driven Finance & Accounts qualified to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reconciliations, statutory compliance, reporting, and supporting the Finance & Accounts team in maintaining accurate and efficient financial processes.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who wants to strengthen their expertise across accounts payable & receivable, GST, TDS, reconciliations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions, including invoice processing, payment entries, receipts, vouchers, and journal entries.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial statements and accounting records.
- Perform Bank Reconciliation, Vendor Reconciliation, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
- Process and maintain documentation related to GST, TDS, statutory returns, and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare timely and accurate accounting and financial reports for management review.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all accounting entries and reconciliations are completed accurately.
- Maintain accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting principles and company policies.
- Work effectively with the Finance & Accounts Manager to improve and optimize financial operations and internal processes.
- Support the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting policies and internal control procedures.
- Handle accounting-related queries and assist employees and internal teams regarding financial and accounting procedures.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex or outstanding accounting issues in coordination with the reporting manager.
- Manage accounting data entry and voucher posting using Tally ERP 9 and company-owned accounting software.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and statutory compliance purposes.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining financial documentation, reports, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of financial information.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Double Entry Accounting System.
- Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting and Financial Statements.
- Hands-on knowledge of GST, TDS, Vendor Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 and accounting software.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Advanced MS Excel.
- Good understanding of financial processes, accounting controls, and business trends.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare professional email correspondence and business communications.
- Good presentation and reporting skills.
- Robust interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Creative and proactive approach towards identifying and improving accounting processes.
- Result-oriented, responsible, and self-motivated with a strong commitment to accuracy.
Educational Qualification
- Graduation in Commerce stream is mandatory.
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualifications will be preferred.
- Candidates with higher educational qualifications in Finance & Accounting will receive additional preference.
Language Requirements
- English & Tamil – Mandatory
- Hindi – Added advantage
