About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to support the Finance & Accounts function. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, voucher entries, documentation, vendor bill verification, cash and bank transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day voucher entries in Tally, including proper use of cost centres and cost categories.
- Verify bills, invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents before processing.
- Maintain basic knowledge of TDS provisions, deductions, challans, and applicable rates.
- Prepare and maintain the Cheque Issue Register.
- Maintain proper documentation of project-related expenses.
- Ensure systematic filing, indexing, and safe custody of financial documents.
- Record and maintain cash and bank transactions accurately.
- Verify vendor bills and ensure all required supporting documents are attached.
- Maintain proper records of advances issued to staff/vendors and ensure timely settlement.
- Perform other finance and accounting-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Tally and basic accounting principles.
- Understanding of TDS and routine statutory deductions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel.
- Ability to manage financial records and work within deadlines.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Eligibility
- B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Candidates with experience in NGO/Trust accounting will be an added advantage.
- No specific age or gender preference.
Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
