– Deputy Manager / Manager – Tender Accounts
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounts professional to manage end-to-end accounting operations for tender and project-based business activities. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of overall accounting functions, financial reporting, balance sheet finalization, GST, TDS, statutory compliance, audits, and financial controls. The role requires independent handling of accounts and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Manage complete accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Banking transactions.
- Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Monitor and control cash flow, working capital, and financial resources.
- Perform periodic reconciliations of bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and inter-company accounts.
Balance Sheet & Financial Reporting
- Independently prepare, review, and finalize Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement, Trial Balance, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial statements and identify discrepancies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure proper accounting of provisions, accruals, depreciation, advances, and adjustments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Tender Accounting
- Manage accounting activities related to tenders, contracts, projects, and government business.
- Track tender-wise revenue, expenses, security deposits, retention money, advances, and recoveries.
- Coordinate with Tender, Procurement, and Operations teams for financial documentation and reporting.
GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure accurate accounting and compliance related to GST, TDS,
and other statutory requirements.
- Review GST input and output reconciliations and ensure timely filing of returns.
- Verify TDS deductions, payments, reconciliations, and statutory filings within prescribed timelines.
- Coordinate with consultants, auditors, and regulatory authorities for statutory matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and maintain proper documentation for assessments and audits.
Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audits, inspections, and financial reviews.
- Ensure timely submission of financial reports and compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Solid knowledge of end-to-end accounting and finance functions.
- Thorough understanding of Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Cash Flow Statement, Trial Balance, and Financial Statements.
- Hands-on experience in GST, TDS, tax compliance, reconciliations, and statutory reporting.
- Ability to independently finalize accounts and prepare financial reports.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, SAP, and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Qualification
- B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter (Preferred)
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in Accounts & Finance, preferably in Tender, Project-Based, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, EPC, or Contracting organizations.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in handling complete accounting functions independently.
- Strong expertise in Balance Sheet finalization and financial statement analysis.
- Exposure to tender/project accounting and contract-based financial management.
- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, audits, budgeting, and management reporting.
