About the Role:
The Accounts Executive in the Finance Department is a vital team member responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This role involves a combination of transactional tasks and analytical responsibilities, requiring a detail-oriented individual with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities include:
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
· Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions.
· Verify, classify, and record financial data to ensure accuracy.
· Generate and send invoices, statements, and payment reminders as needed.
Expense Management:
· Review and reconcile employee expense reports.
· Ensure adherence to expense policies and proper documentation.
Financial Documentation:
· Maintain organized and comprehensive financial documentation.
· File and archive financial records in accordance with company policies.
Financial Analysis:
· Assist in financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
· Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Month-End and Year-End Closing:
· Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes.
· Prepare necessary reconciliations and financial reports.
Communication and Collaboration:
· Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information.
· Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Audit Support:
· Assist in the preparation of documents and schedules for internal and external audits.
· Address audit inquiries and implement audit recommendations.
Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
· Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and guidelines.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· 2+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Tally prime, ZOHO) and Microsoft Excel.
· Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in a similar role within the research industry.
· Familiarity with financial reporting and analysis.
· Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
