Role Description The Academic Counsellor – US role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.
The Academic
Counsellor will guide learners and families from the US region in understanding BrightCHAMPS’ programs, helping them select courses and pathways aligned with their educational goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, responding to inquiries via calls, emails, or online platforms, and providing clear information about curriculum, schedules, and learning outcomes. The role also involves monitoring student progress,
coordinating with teaching and support teams to resolve academic concerns, and recommending additional learning resources where needed.
The Academic
Counsellor will maintain accurate records, contribute to improving counseling processes, and uphold a learner-centric, inclusive approach in all interactions.
Qualifications
- Robust Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support learners in making informed educational decisions.
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear verbal and written communication for diverse students and families.
- Experience or training in Career Counseling and Education to guide learners on future academic and career pathways.
- Knowledge of or interest in K–12 and skill-based education, especially in areas such as coding, STEM, and foundational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced qualifications are a plus.
- Ability to work with global stakeholders across time zones, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with using digital tools, CRM systems, and online communication platforms for counseling and documentation.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, student advisory roles, or edtech environments is preferred.
