Position

Design Engineer – SPM / Automation

Experience

- 1–4 years of experience in mechanical design.
- Hands-on experience in fixture design, SolidWorks and cavity design.
- Experience in SPM / automation machine design is preferred.

Qualification

- Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop fixtures, jigs and tooling for SPM and automation machines.
- Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Design and develop cavities, nests and component holding arrangements.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, tolerances and fitments.
- Select suitable materials and standard components.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and assembly teams during fabrication and assembly.




- Modify designs based on manufacturing requirements.
- Perform design and interference checks.
- Prepare BOM and maintain design documentation.
- Support machine assembly, trials and commissioning.
- Identify design issues and provide practical solutions.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of SolidWorks.
- Experience in fixture and jig design.
- Knowledge of cavity / nest design.
- Understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Basic knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances and fitments.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- SPM / automation experience is an added advantage.
