Fitter Fabrication Trainer

Location

Kamrup Metro, Assam

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering may also be considered.

Experience

- Preferably 5-6 years of relevant experience in fitter fabrication, workshop, industrial fabrication, or skill training.
- Experience as a Fitter/Fabrication Trainer will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with TOT/ToT certification or relevant trainer certification will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct theoretical and practical training for candidates in Fitter Fabrication.
- Demonstrate fabrication, fitting, cutting, drilling, grinding, welding and related workshop activities.
- Prepare lesson plans, practical demonstrations and training materials.
- Ensure proper use of tools, machinery and workshop equipment.
- Maintain trainee attendance, assessment records and daily training documentation.
- Conduct practical and theoretical assessments of trainees.
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety standards and PPE requirements.
- Identify trainee learning gaps and provide appropriate support.




- Coordinate with the Centre Coordinator and Operations Team regarding training progress.
- Support trainee mobilization, counselling and placement activities whenever required.
- Maintain cleanliness, discipline and safety within the workshop.
- Participate in inspections, audits and other project-related activities.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Fitter and Fabrication processes.
- Good practical knowledge of workshop tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of welding, cutting, drilling, grinding, measurement and fitting techniques.
- Valuable communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to conduct hands-on practical demonstrations.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Strong focus on trainee safety and skill development.

Preferred

- B.Tech/B.E. Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant ToT certification
- Industrial/workshop experience
- Prior experience in government skill development projects

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
