Job Summary

The Room Service Order Taker cum Cashier is responsible for receiving and processing guest food and beverage orders through phone or in-person requests, coordinating with the kitchen and service staff, handling billing and cash transactions, and ensuring excellent customer service to hotel guests.

Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Taking Duties

- Receive room service orders politely and accurately through telephone or digital systems.
- Suggest menu items, promotions, and upselling opportunities to guests.
- Confirm order details including room number, guest name, special requests, and delivery time.
- Enter orders into the POS (Point of Sale) system correctly.
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff for timely delivery.

Cashier Duties

- Prepare guest bills accurately.
- Handle cash, credit card, UPI, and other payment transactions.
- Maintain daily cash balance and submit reports to accounts or management.
- Issue receipts and maintain billing records.
- Ensure all transactions follow hotel policies and procedures.

Customer Service

- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and maintain service standards.




- Communicate courteously with guests and team members.

Administrative Duties

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier/order desk area.
- Monitor menu availability and update guests on unavailable items.
- Assist in preparing daily sales reports and records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- High school diploma or hotel management qualification preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or cashier role is an advantage.
- Good communication and telephone etiquette.
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Customer-focused attitude.

Working Conditions

- 3 PM TO 11 PM, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
