Job Description: Executive – Project & Mechanical Material Purchase

Job Purpose

To handle the end-to-end sourcing, procurement, and timely delivery of mechanical equipment, engineering spares, and project materials. This role supports the chemical manufacturing plant operations of Sunshield Chemicals Ltd as well as the infrastructure and project procurement needs of its sister concern, Hornbill Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

Dual-Entity Sourcing & Procurement

- Source mechanical items, piping, valves, structures, and specialized heavy project equipment for both entities.
- Float RFQs (Request for Quotations) to approved engineering and infrastructure vendors.
- Prepare detailed commercial comparison sheets and cost-allocation breakdowns between Sunshield and Hornbill.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms to leverage bulk buying power for both companies.
- Release accurate Purchase Orders (PO) under the correct legal entity (Sunshield or Hornbill) in the ERP system.

Vendor & Site Coordination

- Identify, onboard,



and evaluate new vendors specialized in plant maintenance and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate with the project engineering teams of both companies for technical clearance and drawing approvals.
- Track material delivery timelines closely to ensure zero downtime at the chemical plant and no delays at infrastructure project sites.
- Collaborate with the respective stores and accounts teams of both companies to resolve invoice or billing discrepancies.

Compliance & Accounting Support

- Ensure separate documentation, billing, and tax compliance (GST/TDS) for transactions belonging to Sunshield and Hornbill.
- Assist the finance team in tracking shared resource allocation and internal cross-charging details.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP MM preferred) and advanced MS Excel.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of technical drawings, structural layouts, and engineering materials (MS, SS, alloys, piping standards).

Soft Skills

- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
- Explicit verbal and written communication to manage multiple internal stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks when handling requirements for two different companies simultaneously.

Pay: ₹20,869.97 - ₹37,146.90 per month
