About the Role

We are looking for a highly capable Data Mining & Lead Generation Specialist to build and maintain a consistent pipeline of high-quality Australian prospect data for our outbound sales team.

Our callers are responsible for cold calling and converting prospects. Your responsibility will be to ensure they always have fresh, accurate, relevant and usable Australian data to call.

This is a data-focused role and not a calling/sales position.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and source Australian consumer/prospect data through legitimate and reliable sources.
- Build large, targeted databases based on campaign requirements.
- Identify and compile relevant prospect information, including:
- Name
- Australian phone number
- State/Territory
- Postcode
- Other relevant qualifying information, where lawfully available
- Use online research, data platforms, databases, enrichment tools and other legitimate sources to identify prospects.
- Clean, validate and enrich existing databases.
- Remove duplicate, incomplete and invalid records.
- Maintain accurate and organized databases in Excel, Google Sheets, CRM or other data-management systems.
- Segment and prioritize data based on campaign requirements.
- Monitor data quality, freshness, contactability and performance.
- Work closely with the outbound sales team to understand which types of data are producing the best results.




- Research and test new data sources continuously.
- Maintain records of data sources and provenance.
- Ensure data acquisition and usage follows applicable Australian telemarketing, privacy and consent requirements.

What We Are Looking For

- 6+ years of experience in data mining, lead generation, web research, database building or data sourcing.
- Experience working with Australian data is highly preferred.
- Experience supporting an Australian BPO, telemarketing, insurance, financial services, mortgage, solar, real estate or similar outbound campaign is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of online research and data-sourcing techniques.
- Experience with data enrichment and validation tools.
- Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with large volumes of data without compromising accuracy.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify which data sources produce better-quality prospects.
- Ability to independently find and test new data sources.

Strongly Preferred

Candidates with previous experience in:

- Australian consumer lead generation
- Australian insurance data
- Australian financial-services leads
- B2C outbound campaign data
- Lead-generation agencies




- Data vendors or lead-generation companies
- Database building and enrichment

will be given preference.

Performance Metrics

Your performance will be measured based on data quality and sales usability, not simply the number of records produced.

Key KPIs may include:

- Number of fresh records generated
- Data accuracy
- Valid/contactable phone-number percentage
- Duplicate rate
- Data freshness
- Qualified-lead percentage
- Conversion performance of different data sources
- Compliance and source documentation

Important

We are not looking for a traditional data-entry executive.

The ideal candidate should be someone who can say:

“Give me the target criteria and I can identify where to find the right Australian prospects, build the database, validate it, improve the quality and continuously provide fresh data to the calling team.”

Candidates claiming access to third-party databases must be able to clearly explain the source, quality, freshness and lawful basis for use of the data.
