Job Description – Pre-Bid Design Engineer

Position: Pre-Bid Design Engineer

Experience required: 2–4 Years

Location: Rabale, Navi Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

Review customer enquiries, RFQs, tender documents, specifications, and drawings.

Prepare preliminary design calculations and technical proposals for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, columns, skids, and related process equipment.

Coordinate with estimation, procurement, production, and QA/QC teams for technical inputs during bidding stage.

Prepare GA drawings, preliminary BOMs, datasheets, and technical clarifications.

Evaluate customer specifications and identify deviations/exceptions.

Assist in costing and material selection based on process requirements and applicable codes/standards.

Support proposal submissions with technical documentation and compliance sheets.





Participate in pre-bid meetings and customer discussions when required.

Coordinate with clients/vendors for technical queries and clarifications.

Ensure compliance with ASME, TEMA, API, IS, and client-specific standards wherever applicable.

Maintain records of bid documents, technical submissions, and revisions.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Good understanding of fabrication drawings and process equipment design.

Familiarity with pressure vessel and heat exchanger design concepts.

Knowledge of ASME Sec VIII Div 1, TEMA, and relevant codes preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

Exposure to design software such as PV Elite, Compress, or HTRI will be an added advantage.

Strong analytical and communication skills.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple enquiries simultaneously.

Good coordination and teamwork abilities.

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Compensation & Advantages

Salary: 25-35k PM (based on experience and expertise).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
