Veekay Timber & Allied Products is an established Kolkata-based manufacturer and supplier of Wooden Door Frames and Flush Door Shutters, serving the real-estate, construction and building-material industry.
We are expanding our business and are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Accounts Executive who can independently manage day-to-day accounting activities and contribute to building a strong financial control system.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain day-to-day accounts in Tally Prime
* Sales and purchase accounting
* Receivables and payables management
* Customer outstanding and vendor outstanding
* Bank reconciliation
* GST-related accounting and coordination
* Preparation of MIS and regular accounting reports
* Ledger scrutiny and reconciliation
* Invoice verification and accounting
* Coordinate with CA / tax consultants for GST, TDS and statutory requirements
* Maintain proper documentation and accounting records
* Assist management with financial information and reports
* Follow up internally for pending invoices, payments and documentation
* Ensure accuracy and timely completion of accounting activities
Candidate Requirements
* B.Com / M.Com preferred
* 3–6 years of relevant experience
* Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime
* Good knowledge of GST and TDS
* Strong Excel skills
* Experience in bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation
* Good understanding of debtors and creditors
* Manufacturing / trading / building-material industry experience will be an advantage
* Good communication and coordination skills
* Should be responsible, organised and capable of working independently
