About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable English Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one online English tuition to a school-age child based in the UK.

The ideal candidate will have excellent spoken and written English, strong teaching ability, and a good understanding of the UK education system and curriculum.

This is a personalised tutoring role, with the tutor working closely with the child and family to support English language development, communication, reading, writing, comprehension and broader academic skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and structured one-to-one online English lessons.
- Develop reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and comprehension.
- Support spoken English, pronunciation and effective communication.
- Adapt teaching methods to the child's individual learning style and needs.
- Prepare appropriate exercises, activities and learning materials.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
- Align teaching with the UK education system and curriculum where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with parents to establish learning objectives and monitor progress.

Essential Requirements

- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and sentence construction.
- Proven experience teaching English to children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.




- Ability to deliver engaging and effective online lessons.
- Reliable and able to commit consistently to 6–8 hours per week.
- Ability to adapt teaching to the individual needs and learning style of the child.

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with:.

- A recognised teaching qualification such as B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE, TESOL, CELTA or equivalent.
- Experience working as an English teacher in a recognised school or educational institution.
- Experience providing one-to-one or personalised tuition.
- Understanding of different learning needs and the ability to adapt teaching accordingly.

Working Arrangement

This is a fully remote position. The student is based in the UK and the tutor will work remotely from India.

The total commitment will be 6–8 hours per week, delivered through individual sessions of approximately 1.5–2 hours each.

The exact days and timings will be agreed with the family and will need to accommodate the child's UK school timetable.

Compensation

र1,000 to र1,500 per week for the agreed 6–8 hours of tutoring.
