Job Title: Sports / Physical Education Teacher (PTI)

Reports To: Principal / Academic Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic, disciplined, and qualified Sports / Physical Education Teacher (PTI) to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles among students. The teacher will plan and conduct physical education classes, organize sports activities and competitions, and identify and develop students’ athletic abilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct age-appropriate Physical Education and Sports classes.
- Teach students basic and advanced skills in various sports and physical activities.
- Organize daily exercises, fitness drills, athletics, games, and recreational activities.
- Train and coach school teams for inter-school and other competitions.
- Identify talented students and provide specialized sports training.
- Organize annual sports day, tournaments, athletic meets, and other sporting events.
- Monitor students’ physical fitness, participation, and sports performance.
- Promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, fair play, and sportsmanship.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and inventory of sports equipment and facilities.
- Maintain a protected environment during all sports and physical activities.




- Provide basic first-aid support and follow appropriate safety procedures during activities.
- Maintain records of student participation, achievements, and sports activities.
- Encourage students to participate in regular physical activity and maintain healthy habits.
- Coordinate with other teachers, parents, and school management regarding sports programs.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, competitions, and co-curricular activities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Master’s Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) will be an advantage.
- Relevant sports coaching certifications will be preferred.
- Previous experience as a PTI / Physical Education Teacher in a school is preferred.
- Good knowledge of multiple sports, athletics, fitness training, and basic sports safety.
