About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to support the Finance & Accounts function. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, voucher entries, documentation, vendor bill verification, cash and bank transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform day-to-day voucher entries in Tally, including proper use of cost centres and cost categories.
* Verify bills, invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents before processing.
* Maintain basic knowledge of TDS provisions, deductions, challans, and applicable rates.
* Prepare and maintain the Cheque Issue Register.
* Maintain proper documentation of project-related expenses.
* Ensure systematic filing, indexing, and secure custody of financial documents.
* Record and maintain cash and bank transactions accurately.
* Verify vendor bills and ensure all required supporting documents are attached.
* Maintain proper records of advances issued to staff/vendors and ensure timely settlement.
* Perform other finance and accounting-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager.
Required Skills
* Good knowledge of Tally and basic accounting principles.
* Understanding of TDS and routine statutory deductions.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
* Basic knowledge of MS Excel.
* Ability to manage financial records and work within deadlines.
* Good communication and organizational skills.
Eligibility
* B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification.
* 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
* Candidates with experience in NGO/Trust accounting will be an added advantage.
* No specific age or gender preference.
Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
