Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Reporting Engineer with strong expertise in Power BI, SQL Server, T-SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, Data Warehousing, ETL, and Performance Tuning.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and paginated reports, while working closely with data engineering and business teams to ensure accurate, reliable, and high-performing reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
- Develop and maintain Power BI Paginated Reports for operational and enterprise reporting.
- Write complex and optimized T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions using SQL Server.
- Work with Snowflake and Databricks to develop and consume scalable data solutions.
- Design and implement reporting solutions using enterprise Data Warehouse architectures.
- Develop, validate, and maintain ETL processes for reporting and analytics.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
- Optimize SQL queries, data models, reports, and datasets for improved performance.
- Perform Power BI performance tuning, including report, dataset, and query optimization.
- Analyze and troubleshoot slow-running reports, queries, and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and user-friendly reporting solutions.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data presented in dashboards and reports.
- Develop reusable reporting components and follow BI development best practices.
- Support deployment, maintenance,



and enhancement of reporting solutions across environments.
- Document data sources, report logic, transformation processes, and technical specifications.

- Develop visually effective and business-focused Power BI dashboards.
- Build Paginated Reports for detailed, pixel-perfect operational reporting.
- Develop efficient datasets and reporting models.

SQL & Data Responsibilities

- Write complex T-SQL queries for reporting and data analysis.
- Develop stored procedures, views, CTEs, joins, and other SQL objects.
- Perform data validation and reconciliation across source and target systems.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Optimize SQL queries and database objects for performance.
- Work with SQL Server, Snowflake, and Databricks environments.
- Support data warehouse development and reporting-layer requirements.

Data Warehousing & ETL





- Work with enterprise Data Warehouse environments to support reporting requirements.
- Understand dimensional modeling concepts such as fact and dimension tables.
- Develop and validate ETL processes.
- Ensure successful movement and transformation of data from source systems to reporting layers.
- Perform ETL validation, data reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering teams to improve data availability and quality.

Performance Tuning

- Analyze and optimize slow-running SQL queries.
- Perform Power BI report and dataset performance tuning.
- Identify bottlenecks in ETL processes and reporting queries.
- Optimize data models and reporting architecture for scalability.
- Monitor reporting performance and recommend improvements.
- Ensure dashboards and reports provide an efficient user experience.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 4–7+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Data Analytics, or a related role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI dashboards and Paginated Reports.
- Robust knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Experience working with Snowflake and Databricks.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing and ETL concepts.
- Hands-on experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective reporting solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with large-scale enterprise reporting environments.
- Knowledge of dimensional data modeling and star/snowflake schemas.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
- Knowledge of Power BI deployment and report lifecycle management.
- Experience with data quality, reconciliation, and governance processes.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Microsoft Power BI certification or relevant BI certification is a plus.
