Job Description – Welding Machine Sales & Service Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Welding Machine Sales & Service Engineer to handle sales, customer support, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of welding machines and equipment. The candidate should have good technical knowledge of welding equipment along with strong customer-handling and sales skills. Similar roles commonly combine technical demonstrations, lead generation, installation, troubleshooting, and customer training.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development

- Generate leads and develop new customers for welding machines and equipment.
- Visit fabrication units, manufacturing companies, automotive industries, engineering companies, and other industrial customers.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable welding solutions.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Prepare quotations and follow up with customers for order closure.
- Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and business opportunities.

Service & Technical Support

- Install and commission welding machines at customer locations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Attend customer complaints and provide timely technical solutions.
- Conduct machine trials and demonstrations at customer sites.
- Train customers/operators on proper machine operation,



maintenance, and safety.
- Coordinate with the internal technical team for spare parts and complex service issues.
- Maintain service reports, customer visit reports, and installation records.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of MIG, TIG, ARC and other welding machines/equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Positive problem-solving and technical aptitude.
- Comfortable with field sales and customer visits.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/email.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Qualification & Experience

- Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related engineering field.
- 1–3 years of experience in welding machines, industrial equipment, technical sales, service engineering, or related industries preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in welding equipment sales/service will be given preference.
- A valid two-wheeler driving licence is preferred for field visits.

Compensation

CTC: Up to ₹4 LPA, depending on experience and technical/sales skills.

Industry Preference: Welding Machines / Welding Equipment / Industrial Machinery / Fabrication / Engineering Products.

Pay: ₹25,109.17 - ₹36,684.08 per month
