About the Role

Saptam Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Unity Game Developer to join our product development team for a large-scale mobile gaming platform.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and integrating multiple high-quality mobile games, multiplayer functionality, game lobby systems, APIs, player sessions, game states and third-party services.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Unity, C#, multiplayer game development, networking, REST APIs and mobile game optimization.

Experience working on real-money gaming (RMG), multiplayer gaming, card/board games, tournaments, wallet-based systems or gaming platforms will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain high-quality 2D/3D mobile games using Unity and C#.

- Develop multiple games such as Ludo, board games, card games and other multiplayer game formats.

- Build and integrate real-time multiplayer functionality.

- Work with networking frameworks such as Photon, Mirror, Unity Netcode or equivalent.

- Develop game rooms, matchmaking, player sessions and game-state management.

- Develop and integrate a centralized game lobby.

- Integrate Unity games with backend REST APIs and WebSocket/real-time services.

- Implement player authentication, profiles, game history and related features.

- Integrate third-party SDKs and services where required.

- Work closely with backend developers for wallet, transaction, game-result and user-management APIs.

- Integrate required payment-related APIs/SDKs through the backend team and ensure proper transaction-status handling.

- Implement secure client-side communication and appropriate validation.

- Optimize games for Android and iOS devices.

- Identify and resolve performance issues, crashes, memory leaks and networking problems.

- Implement animations, UI interactions, sound effects and game mechanics.

- Work with UI/UX designers to convert designs into functional game interfaces.

- Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, scalable and reusable code.

- Debug production issues and provide timely fixes.

- Coordinate with backend, frontend, QA and DevOps teams.

- Prepare builds for testing, staging and production deployment.

- Maintain proper documentation for game modules and integrations.

Required Technical Skills

Unity & Game Development

- 3–6+ years of professional experience with Unity Engine.





- Strong proficiency in C#.

- Strong understanding of Unity architecture and game development lifecycle.

- Experience developing and shipping mobile games.

- Strong understanding of game physics, animations, UI systems and game states.

- Experience with Unity UI, Canvas, prefabs, scenes and asset management.

Multiplayer & Networking

Hands-on experience with one or more:

- Photon / Photon Fusion / Photon PUN

- Unity Netcode

- Mirror

- Other real-time multiplayer networking frameworks

Experience with:

- Matchmaking

- Room management

- Player synchronization

- Real-time game state synchronization

- Reconnection handling

- Network latency optimization

- Server-authoritative architecture

Backend & API Integration

Candidate should have a good understanding of:

- REST APIs

- JSON

- WebSockets / real-time communication

- Authentication and authorization

- API integration with Unity

- Token/session management

- Error handling and API security basics

Experience integrating Unity applications with Node.js, MongoDB or similar backend technologies will be an advantage.

Mobile Development

- Android game development and deployment experience.

- Experience with Android Studio / Gradle integration.

- Understanding of APK/AAB generation and release builds.

- iOS development/deployment experience is an advantage.

- Experience integrating native Android/iOS SDKs into Unity is preferred.

Real-Money Gaming / Gaming Platform Experience

Candidates with previous experience in any of the following will be strongly preferred:

- Real-money gaming platforms

- Ludo / board games

- Card games

- Multiplayer gaming platforms

- Tournament systems

- Gaming wallets

- Game lobby systems

- Gaming transaction systems

- Player matchmaking

- Game history / result systems

- KYC/verification-related integrations

- Responsible gaming/compliance-related implementations

Previous RMG experience is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has strong multiplayer game development experience.

Security & Compliance Awareness

The candidate should understand that the application will involve sensitive user and transaction-related workflows.

Experience or understanding of:

- Secure API communication

- Authentication/token security

- Client-server validation

- Prevention of basic client-side manipulation

- Secure handling of user sessions

- Anti-cheat concepts

- Secure game-result handling

- Transaction-status verification

The developer will be expected to follow the company's technical,



security and legal/compliance guidelines and must not implement mechanisms intended to bypass laws, licensing requirements, payment-provider restrictions or app-store policies.
