Role Overview

The Senior Design Engineer will lead the design and development of industrial equipment such as air-cooled chillers, shell & tube heat exchangers, and fabrication systems. The role involves managing end-to-end design activities, guiding junior engineers, and ensuring projects meet customer, quality, and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead concept design, layout planning, and GA drawings based on customer requirements and site conditions.
- Review customer specifications and translate them into detailed engineering designs, 3D models, and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Prepare and validate Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring cost optimization and design efficiency.
- Guide and supervise junior design engineers and draftsmen to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of drawings.
- Coordinate with the Sales Team during pre-sales for technical discussions, feasibility checks, and solution finalization.
- Work closely with Production Team to ensure manufacturability, resolve design issues, and improve fabrication processes.
- Interface with Purchase Team for vendor development, technical clarifications, and material specifications.
- Ensure designs are compatible with laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, and machining processes.




- Collaborate with the Quality Team to resolve non-conformities and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards.
- Manage customer interactions for design discussions, technical clarifications, and approvals (via meetings, calls, and site visits).
- Support installation and commissioning teams by providing technical inputs and resolving on-site design challenges.
- Drive design improvements, standardization, and cost reduction initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- In-depth knowledge of heat exchangers, chillers, and fabrication design
- Good understanding of thermal calculations and mechanical design principles
- Leadership and team management skills
- Solid problem-solving and analytical ability
- Excellent communication and customer coordination skills

Preferred Experience

- 5–10 years of experience in industrial equipment / HVAC / heat exchanger design
- Experience in sheet metal, pressure vessels, and piping systems
- Exposure to project-based manufacturing environment

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
