Qualifications and monthly emoluments:

Essential qualification:

For Project Associate-I: M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry from a recognized university.

For Senior PAT: Masters/Integrated Masters in Physics/Chemistry from a recognized university and three years experience in R&D; in industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and services.

Monthly emoluments: For Project Associate-I: (i) Rs. 37,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests- CSIR/UGC NET including lecturership (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Goverenment Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) 30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

For Senior PAT: Rs. 42,000/- (consolidated)

Age: As of the last date of receipt of application through email, maximum 50 years for Project Associate-I. All the terms and conditions will be as per ANRF guidelines. For Senior PAT, maximum age will be 40 years as on the last date of receipt of application. All the terms and conditions will be as per CSIR guidelines).

Duration: Initially for 1 year and may get extended subject to the availability of funds and the performance of the candidate.

Job description: The selected Project Associate-I will work on a ANRF-sponsored project on the large-scale fabrication of composite membranes for separation and purification of critical minerals.



The selected Senior PAT will work on a BPCL-funded project on the large-scale fabrication of composite membranes for separation and purification of crude oil.

Application received by email will be scrutinized and shortlisted based on certain criteria and only such shortlisted candidates, eligible as per criteria, will be asked to attend the interview using the online or offline/in-person mode. The details of the interview will be sent to such candidates by e-mail. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for attending the interview.

These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Lab./Instt. of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 06 years in any case. It would, therefore,



not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.

- The decision of Director, CSIR-CSMCRI in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of interview, cancellation of advertisement etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or person or agency.
