HR Intern – Recruitment & HR Business Partner

Location: Chennai
Job Type: Internship / Full-Time Internship
Experience: Fresher / 0–1 Year

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and people-oriented HR Intern to join our Human Resources team. This role will provide hands-on exposure to Recruitment, Employee Engagement, HR Operations, and HR Business Partner activities.

The ideal candidate should be interested in building a career in HR, have good communication skills, and be willing to take ownership of tasks while working closely with employees, hiring managers, and the HR team.

Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Talent Acquisition

- Understand hiring requirements from different departments and prepare job descriptions.
- Source candidates through Indeed, Naukri, LinkedIn, job portals, employee referrals, and other channels.
- Screen resumes and shortlist candidates based on job requirements.
- Conduct initial HR screening calls and assess candidate suitability.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
- Maintain and update candidate databases and recruitment trackers.
- Follow up with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist with offer discussions, joining formalities, and onboarding.
- Track recruitment metrics such as applications, shortlisted candidates, interviews, selections, and joining ratios.

HR Business Partner Activities

- Work closely with employees and team leads to understand day-to-day HR requirements.
- Support employee engagement activities and internal HR initiatives.




- Assist in gathering employee feedback and identifying workplace concerns.
- Support HR in employee communication and coordination.
- Assist in resolving basic employee queries and escalate concerns when required.
- Support performance management and employee review processes.
- Assist HR in understanding team-level requirements and employee needs.
- Participate in employee engagement programs, recognition activities, and HR events.

HR Operations

- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist with onboarding and exit formalities.
- Support attendance, leave, and employee data management.
- Prepare HR reports, trackers, and MIS as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information.
- Assist the HR team with other day-to-day HR activities.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates and candidates with 0–1 year of HR experience can apply.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Basic understanding of recruitment and HR processes.




- Good knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets and MS Office.
- Ability to communicate confidently with candidates and employees.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Preferred Skills

- Basic knowledge of Recruitment / Talent Acquisition.
- Familiarity with job portals such as Indeed, Naukri, or LinkedIn.
- Basic understanding of Employee Engagement and HR Business Partnering.
- Good negotiation and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and positive attitude.
