Position : Geologist – Exploration / Mining Mapping | 2–3 Years Experience

Location : Chennai / Srilanka/West Africa /

Job Summary:
Responsible for geological exploration, field mapping, sampling, data collection, and interpretation to support mineral exploration and mining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct geological field mapping and prepare geological maps and sections.
- Carry out exploration activities including reconnaissance surveys, traverses, trenching and sampling.
- Identify and record lithology, alteration, mineralization, structures and geological contacts.
- Collect, label and maintain rock, soil, trench and drill-core samples.
- Assist with core logging, geological interpretation and mineralization modelling.
- Prepare geological plans, sections and exploration reports.
- Use GIS and geological mapping software such as ArcGIS/QGIS, AutoCAD and related tools.
- Assist in drilling programs, including drill-site supervision and core logging.
- Maintain accurate field records, coordinates,



photographs and geological databases.
- Coordinate with mining, survey, drilling and laboratory teams.
- Follow company HSE/safety procedures during field and mine-site activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Geology / Applied Geology / Earth Science.
- 2–3 years of experience in geological exploration, mining geology or mineral mapping.
- Practical experience in geological mapping, sampling, core logging and GIS.
- Knowledge of mineral deposits, structural geology and exploration techniques.
- Willingness to work in remote field/mining locations.
