About the Role

Navya Jagran is looking for a creative and experienced Senior Video Editor who can lead the editing of news videos, reels, social media content, interviews, and digital stories. The ideal candidate should have strong storytelling skills, excellent editing expertise, and an understanding of fast-paced news content.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit news videos, breaking-news clips, interviews, reports, reels, and social media videos.
- Create engaging video stories from raw footage, scripts, images, and audio.
- Add transitions, graphics, captions, subtitles, sound effects, music, and visual effects.
- Ensure videos follow Navya Jagran's branding and editorial standards.
- Work closely with reporters, content writers, anchors, and the social media team.
- Handle multiple projects and meet tight news deadlines.
- Create short-form content optimized for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and other platforms.
- Review and improve video quality, audio, color, pacing, and overall presentation.
- Maintain organized video project files and archives.
- Guide junior video editors and review their work when required.
- Stay updated with current video-editing trends and social-media formats.

Required Skills





- Robust proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional editing software.
- Knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition is an advantage.
- Excellent understanding of video storytelling, pacing, composition, and sound.
- Experience with motion graphics, text animation, subtitles, and visual effects.
- Ability to edit both long-form and short-form content.
- Strong attention to detail and creativity.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent publishing deadlines.
- Good understanding of Hindi news and digital-media content.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Mass Communication, Film & Television, Multimedia, Animation, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of professional video-editing experience.
- Experience in a news media, digital media, television, or production house will be preferred.
