About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) accounting, with the ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting activities and support the month-end close process.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Manage customer invoicing and ensure invoices are accurately and timely processed.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances and prepare AR ageing reports.
- Follow up on overdue customer payments and coordinate with internal teams for collections.
- Apply and reconcile customer payments against invoices.
- Investigate and resolve customer account discrepancies.

Accounts Payable (AP)

- Process vendor invoices and ensure proper coding and supporting documentation.
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare vendor payment schedules and support payment processing.
- Monitor vendor ageing and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Ensure proper approval and documentation of vendor payments.

General Ledger / Accounting

- Perform GL accounting and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepaid expenses and other adjustments.
- Review Balance Sheet accounts and investigate unusual or aged balances.
- Support preparation of monthly financial reports and management schedules.




- Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.

Other Responsibilities

- Support internal and external audit requirements.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and records.
- Assist in identifying process improvements and strengthening financial controls.
- Coordinate with Finance, Operations and other departments to resolve accounting issues.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 7–8 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in AR, AP and GL accounting.
- Positive understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and basic data analysis.
- Experience working with ERP/accounting software.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work U.S. business hours/night shift.

Preferred

- Experience working with U.S.-based companies or U.S. accounting operations.
- Experience with U.S. GAAP will be an advantage.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.
- Exposure to multi-entity accounting will be an added advantage.
