About the Role

J AND R COMPANY is looking for a Backend Developer (MERN Stack) who can design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs for our web and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
- Work with MongoDB for database design, queries, and optimization.
- Implement authentication and authorization using JWT/OAuth where required.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Write clean, reusable, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Debug and resolve backend issues and production bugs.
- Optimize API performance, database queries, and server-side processes.
- Collaborate with Frontend, Flutter, UI/UX, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Participate in code reviews and follow development best practices.
- Work with Git/GitHub for version control.
- Ensure proper security, validation, error handling, and API documentation.

Required Skills

- 1–2 years of skilled experience in backend development.
- Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.js.
- Good understanding of MongoDB and database concepts.




- Experience building REST APIs.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript / ES6+.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, JWT, and API security.
- Good knowledge of Git and GitHub.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming and API integration.
- Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Redis or caching.
- Knowledge of Docker.
- Basic understanding of AWS / Azure / cloud deployment.
- Experience with WebSockets / Socket.IO.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working on high-traffic or production applications.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant practical experience and strong technical skills will also be considered.
