VMC OPERATOR – UNITED INDUSTRIES

Position: VMC Operator – Die & Production Work

United Industries, Doraha is looking for an experienced VMC Operator with hands-on experience in Die/Tool Room machining and regular production work.

The candidate must be capable of independently setting and operating a VMC with Mitsubishi Controller, including accurate job centering and machining of forging dies.

Essential Practical Skills

The candidate should be able to independently:

- Set and operate VMC machines with Mitsubishi Controller.
- Find/take the accurate centre of the job/die and establish correct work zero/reference.
- Perform proper X, Y and Z setting and work-offset setting.
- Set dies accurately and establish right angles/squareness (90°) for die machining.
- Check and maintain parallelism, perpendicularity and alignment during die setting and machining.
- Perform machining of forging dies, die blocks and tool-room components.
- Handle production/PCS machining jobs as per production requirements.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Set and correct tool offsets and work offsets.
- Make necessary offset/program corrections during machining.
- Use measuring instruments including Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge,



Dial Indicator and Bore Gauge.
- Carry out in-process inspection and ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Minimize rejection, rework, tool breakage and machining time.
- Maintain the machine, tooling and workplace properly.

Candidate Requirements

- 2–5 years of hands-on VMC experience preferred.
- Practical experience with Mitsubishi VMC Controller.
- Experience in forging die/tool-room machining strongly preferred.
- Must know job/die centering and zero setting.
- Must be capable of accurately setting dies at 90°/right angle and checking squareness.
- Ability to independently understand engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Experience in both Die Work + Production Work will be preferred.
- Basic VMC program editing/correction knowledge is desirable.
- Responsible, disciplined and quality-focused.

Salary based on experience and actual practical skill.

Candidates may be required to undergo a practical machine trial during the selection process.
