KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Formulation & Pipeline Development

● Lead formulation of spice blend SKUs, converting chef-developed flavour profiles into production-ready formulations.

● Manage the end-to-end NPD pipeline across concept, prototyping, validation and commercial launch stages, prioritising the portfolio in line with go-to-market strategy.

● Standardise particle size, blend ratios and processing parameters to ensure consistent quality at scale.

Ingredient Sourcing & Vendor Management

● Source and qualify raw-material vendors for whole and ground spices and functional ingredients, balancing cost, quality and authenticity.

● Build ingredient specifications and manage supplier quality agreements; evaluate substitutes during supply disruptions without compromising sensory identity.

Shelf-Life, Safety & Compliance

● Design and run accelerated and real-time shelf-life studies for every SKU.

● Own FSSAI compliance, labelling accuracy and food-safety documentation, including HACCP where applicable.

● Manage third-party lab relationships and testing protocols (heavy metals, pesticide residue, adulterant and microbial testing) to support ingredient-quality claims.





Sensory & Quality

● Design and facilitate structured sensory panels (triangle tests, descriptive analysis) to validate flavour consistency against the agreed benchmark recipe.

● Set and maintain QC specifications and in-process checkpoints with co-manufacturing partners.

Scale-Up & Manufacturing

● Translate kitchen-scale recipes into factory-scale SOPs; run and troubleshoot trial batches at co-packers/contract manufacturers.

● Optimise yield, consistency, moisture control and packaging interaction during scale-up.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

● Partner with the Chef/Product Development lead to preserve culinary authenticity through the scale-up process.

● Work with Marketing on ingredient-transparency claims and label copy accuracy.

● Support Founders/Finance with per-SKU costing models, COGS and margin structure.

Documentation

● Maintain specification sheets, formulation version control and NPD pipeline trackers; present pipeline status to leadership.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
