ERA Furniture is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Upholsterer to join our furniture production team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in upholstery work, including sofa, chair, bed, cushion, and other upholstered furniture production.

This role requires precision, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of furniture construction and finishing. The Upholsterer will be responsible for transforming furniture frames into high-quality finished products that meet ERA Furniture's quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform complete upholstery work for sofas, chairs, beds, headboards, cushions, and customized furniture.
- Measure, cut, stitch, and fit fabric, leather, foam, and other upholstery materials with precision.
- Apply webbing, springs, foam, batting, cushioning, and padding according to product specifications.
- Stretch and secure upholstery materials neatly to achieve a smooth, wrinkle-free, and skilled finish.
- Ensure accurate fabric alignment, pattern matching, stitching, piping, and detailing.
- Install buttons, tufting, trims, zippers, and decorative upholstery elements where required.
- Work according to approved designs, measurements, technical drawings, and production specifications.
- Inspect furniture frames and materials before starting upholstery work.
- Identify defects, fitting issues, or material inconsistencies and report them to the production team.
- Repair or reupholster damaged or existing furniture when required.
- Maintain consistency in finishing and workmanship across multiple furniture pieces.
- Minimize material wastage through accurate measurement and efficient cutting.
- Use upholstery tools, sewing machines, stapling equipment, cutting tools,



and other machinery safely and effectively.
- Meet assigned production schedules without compromising quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proven experience as an Upholsterer, Furniture Upholsterer, Sofa Maker, or Upholstery Technician.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, leather, foam densities, cushioning materials, webbing, and upholstery accessories.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and work with detailed specifications.
- Experience in fabric cutting, sewing, stapling, fitting, and finishing.
- Strong understanding of pattern alignment, symmetry, piping, tufting, and other detailed finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and understand furniture drawings and measurements.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Good time management and ability to meet production deadlines.

Preferred Qualities

- Experience in premium or customized furniture manufacturing.
- Knowledge of modern and traditional upholstery techniques.
- Ability to work with different materials, including fabric, leather, suede, and synthetic upholstery.
- Experience in repairing and restoring upholstered furniture.
- A robust eye for detail, proportion, finishing, and craftsmanship.
