POSITION : SENIOR CONSULTANT /CONSULTANT
REPORTING TO : MEDICAL DIRECTOR
QUALIFICATION : DM IN GASTROENTEROLOGY WITH A VALID MEDICAL LICENSE
DUTY HOURS : AS PER SCHEDULED REQUIREMENTS

JOB DESCRIPTION
Key areas of responsibility:
1. Oversee all clinical services provided by the Gastroenterology department, ensuring evidence-based practises.
2. Develop and implement treatment protocols for Gastroenterology department
3. Develop and implement protocols for diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreatic diseases.
4. Develop strategies to enhance the efficiency and quality of Gastroenterology services
5.



Supervise and conduct advanced procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and other minimally invasive interventions.
6. Mentor and provide educational opportunities for medical staff, residents, and fellows
7. Support innovation in Gastroenterology treatment methodologies and technologies.
8. Organize conferences, workshops, and CME programs
9. Act as the primary liaison between the Gastroenterology department and other hospital departments.
10. Build partnerships with external organizations, including research institutions and healthcare providers.
11. Represent the department in qualified forums, conferences, and public health initiatives.
12. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide coprehensive patient care.
13. Implement quality assurance programs to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
