*Job Purpose

To maintain museum glass, display cases, glazed frames, windows, and other glass surfaces in a clean, safe, and presentable condition while ensuring that cleaning and maintenance activities do not cause damage to artworks, artifacts, frames, coatings, or display systems.

*Key Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain museum display glass, showcases, framed-glass panels, windows, and other designated glass surfaces.
- Remove dust, fingerprints, stains, and other surface contaminants using approved cleaning methods and materials.
- Follow museum conservation guidelines when cleaning specialized, coated, UV-protective, or anti-reflective glass.
- Use appropriate microfiber cloths, brushes, cleaning solutions, and other approved equipment.
- Inspect glass surfaces for scratches, cracks, chips, condensation, stains, or other defects and report them promptly.
- Take care to protect artworks, artifacts, display materials, frames, seals, and surrounding surfaces during cleaning.
- Ensure that cleaning chemicals and liquids do not enter display cases or come into contact with collection objects.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance of glass displays and related fittings where authorized.
- Assist with the safe installation, removal,



or repositioning of glass panels and display-case components when required.
- Follow safe working procedures when using ladders, access equipment, tools, and cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in assigned museum areas.
- Keep records of cleaning, maintenance activities, defects, and materials used.
- Coordinate with museum, facilities, security, and conservation staff when carrying out work near sensitive collections.
- Respond promptly to urgent glass-cleaning or maintenance requirements.
- Follow all museum policies relating to safety, security, collection care, and visitor protection.

*Required Skills and Qualifications

- Previous experience in glass cleaning, building maintenance, museum maintenance, facilities management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of secure glass-cleaning techniques and cleaning materials.
- Ability to handle delicate surfaces carefully and work around valuable objects.
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to identify and report damage or maintenance issues.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
