Job Overview
We are looking for an Electronics & Hardware Design Engineer to take ownership of electronic hardware development from concept through mass production. The role involves circuit design, schematic capture, PCB development, prototyping, board bring-up, validation, debugging, and production support.
The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Firmware, Mechanical, RF, EMC, Validation, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end hardware development from architecture and schematic design to production.
- Design analog and digital circuits, power management circuits, microcontroller-based systems, and communication interfaces.
- Perform component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout guidance, prototyping, board bring-up, and validation.
- Debug hardware issues and perform root-cause analysis using standard laboratory equipment.
- Support prototype builds, NPI, production testing, supplier interactions, and field failure analysis.
- Develop reliable, manufacturable, cost-optimized PCB designs considering signal integrity, thermal performance, EMI/EMC, DFM, and DFT.
- Conduct design reviews and maintain engineering documentation, calculations, test reports, and validation results.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in electronics hardware design and product development.
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design.
- Hands-on experience with schematic capture and PCB design using Altium Designer or Cadence.
- Experience taking at least one product from prototype through validation into manufacturing.
- Solid hardware debugging skills using:
- Oscilloscopes
- Logic analyzers
- Function generators
- Spectrum analyzers
- Power supplies
- Experience with embedded hardware and interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, JTAG, or SDIO.
- Good understanding of PCB stack-up, signal integrity, thermal design, EMI/EMC, DFM, and DFT.
- Experience with power supply design including Buck, Boost, LDO, Flyback, or other DC-DC topologies.
Good to Have
- Experience with ARM-based processors, PMICs, DDR/LPDDR, or high-speed memory interfaces.
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, GNSS, or RF systems.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python, or LabVIEW for validation and test automation.
- Understanding of FCC, CE, UL, or other EMI/EMC compliance standards.
- Experience in consumer electronics, IoT, robotics, automotive/EV, energy, or medical devices.
- Experience with rigid-flex or flexible PCB design.
