Job Summary

The Collection Manager will be responsible for managing routine collection operations, ensuring time-bound collection of dues and reduction of outstanding amounts. The role involves leading the collection team, monitoring overdue accounts, implementing effective recovery strategies, and ensuring achievement of collection targets while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end collection and recovery activities across assigned locations and portfolios.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to achieve monthly and periodic collection targets.
- Ensure time-bound collection of dues and minimize overdue and outstanding amounts.
- Lead, motivate, and monitor the collection team to achieve individual and team targets.
- Monitor daily collection performance, pending dues, overdue accounts, and recovery status.
- Identify high-risk and overdue accounts and implement appropriate recovery actions.
- Conduct regular reviews with collection executives and provide guidance to improve collection efficiency.
- Plan and monitor field collection activities and ensure effective customer follow-up.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding outstanding payments and repayment schedules.
- Analyze collection data and identify trends, gaps, and areas requiring corrective action.
- Prepare and maintain collection MIS, overdue reports, recovery trackers, and performance dashboards.
- Coordinate with branch teams and management to resolve collection-related issues and improve recovery.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely updating of collection records.




- Handle customer escalations related to payments, dues, and collection activities.
- Monitor collection productivity and take corrective measures to improve team performance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, collection procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular collection forecasts, recovery updates, and performance reports to management.

Requirements

- MBA / Graduate in any relevant discipline.
- 7–10 years of total professional experience.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as a Collection Manager / Collection Team Leader.
- Experience in NBFC / Chit Funds / Banking / Financial Services is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of collection, recovery, overdue management, and customer follow-up processes.
- Proven experience in achieving collection targets and reducing outstanding dues.
- Strong team-handling, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, collection MIS, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple collection priorities and work within strict timelines.
- Solid follow-up and field coordination skills.
- Industry Preference: NBFC / Chit Funds / BFSI / Banking / Financial Services.
