Job Summary

We are urgently looking for a skilled Industrial Painter / Heavy Machinery Painter to join our manufacturing team at Udaipur.

The candidate will be responsible for surface preparation, primer application, spray painting, finishing and touch-up painting of heavy machinery and fabricated components. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in industrial painting and be comfortable working with large steel structures, machinery components and heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare metal and machinery surfaces before painting by cleaning, grinding, sanding and removing rust, oil, grease and other contaminants.
- Perform industrial spray painting of heavy machinery, fabricated structures and equipment components.
- Apply primer, intermediate coats and finishing coats as per company specifications.
- Mix paints, thinners and other coating materials in the correct proportions.
- Operate spray-painting equipment such as air spray, airless spray or HVLP systems, where applicable.
- Perform masking and covering of areas that should not be painted.




- Carry out touch-up painting and finishing work after fabrication, assembly or inspection.
- Check painted surfaces for uniformity, shade, thickness, defects, runs, sagging, pinholes and other finishing issues.
- Maintain proper paint finish and appearance according to production/quality requirements.
- Handle paints, solvents, thinners and painting tools safely.
- Maintain cleanliness of the painting area, equipment and tools.
- Follow all company safety, PPE, quality and environmental procedures.
- Coordinate with fabrication, production and quality teams to complete painting work within production schedules.
- Report any surface defects, coating problems or material requirements to the supervisor.

Required Skills

- Industrial painting / heavy machinery painting experience.
- Hands-on experience with spray painting.
- Knowledge of surface preparation, grinding, sanding and cleaning.
- Knowledge of primer and top-coat application.
- Basic understanding of epoxy, PU, enamel/alkyd and industrial coating systems is preferred.
- Ability to identify paint defects and perform corrective touch-ups.
- Good knowledge of painting tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and follow basic work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and finishing quality.
- Physically fit and comfortable working around large machinery and fabricated structures.




- Ability to work independently as well as with a production team.
- Positive safety awareness and proper use of PPE.

Educational Qualification

- 10th / 12th Pass – preferred.
- ITI – Painter Trade will be an advantage.
- Candidates with relevant industrial painting experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in industrial painting, heavy machinery painting, fabrication painting, automotive painting or structural steel painting preferred.
- Freshers with relevant ITI qualification and practical painting skills may also be considered.

Safety & Quality Responsibilities

- Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Safely handle paints, solvents, thinners and spray-painting equipment.
- Maintain proper ventilation and housekeeping in the painting area.
- Ensure painting work meets required quality and finishing standards.
- Minimize paint wastage and maintain proper material handling.
