Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on corporate, partnership, individual, trust, and estate tax matters across a variety of engagements and industries.
- Serve as the primary engagement leader responsible for client management,
billing, realization, and collections activities.
- Define engagement scope, objectives, and methodologies while collaborating closely with client leadership to identify tax planning and advisory opportunities.
- Lead and perform final reviews of federal, state, local, foreign, corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions.
- Monitor, interpret, and apply U.S. tax laws and regulations to support accurate and compliant tax filings.
- Provide technical leadership on complex tax matters and support resolution of engagement-related issues.
- Leverage technology, tools, and available resources to improve engagement quality, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Mentor, coach, and develop Managers, Seniors, and Staff across technical tax knowledge, client management, and engagement execution.
- Support business development activities including networking, client expansion, and new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and trusted advisory support.
- Manage multiple client engagements and priorities while ensuring high-quality deliverables and timely execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field required; EA Certification Mandate.
- CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in U.S. Taxation required.
- Previous experience within a public accounting or professional services environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of corporate, partnership, and individual taxation.
- Minimum 4 years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing team members.
- Experience supporting large, multi-state, and internationally active middle-market clients preferred.
- Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
- Flexibility to travel as needed for client and business requirements.
