Key Responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end procurement of engineering materials, consumables, components, spares and services.
- Study Purchase Requisitions (PR) and technical requirements received from Engineering, Production and Maintenance.
- Identify, evaluate and develop new vendors for required materials and services.
- Float RFQs/enquiries to approved and potential suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations and prepare Comparative Statements (CS).
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials as per production/project requirements.
- Coordinate with Stores for material receipt, inspection, GRN and shortage/rejection issues.
- Coordinate with Quality/Engineering teams for technical specifications and vendor evaluation.
- Purchase engineering items such as mechanical components, piping items, valves, pumps, hardware, fabrication materials, electrical items, consumables, tools, safety items and plant spares.
- Support procurement of project-related and capital equipment wherever required.
- Maintain vendor database, quotation records, purchase orders and other procurement documentation.




- Monitor pending POs and ensure timely closure.
- Develop alternate vendors to improve cost competitiveness and reduce dependency on single suppliers.
- Negotiate and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery.
- Coordinate with Accounts/Finance regarding invoices, payment status and vendor outstanding issues.
- Maintain proper purchase records for internal/external audits and ISO requirements.
- Prepare regular purchase reports related to pending orders, savings, vendor development and procurement status.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Engineering Purchase / Industrial Procurement.
- Experience in sourcing mechanical/engineering materials.
- Good vendor development and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand technical specifications and engineering requirements.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/Purchase software.
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of GST, commercial terms and basic purchase documentation.
- Ability to work with Production, Engineering, Stores, Quality and Accounts teams.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
