Job Specifications

Education:
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid Nursing Council Registration.

Experience:
1–3 years of experience in CCU / ICU / Critical Care Nursing preferred.

Clinical Skills & Competencies

- Ability to provide nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
- Knowledge of cardiac monitoring and interpretation of basic ECG changes.
- Competency in handling cardiac monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps and other CCU equipment.
- Ability to identify and respond promptly to cardiac emergencies.
- Knowledge of medication administration, including high-alert medications.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety and emergency care.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Certifications

- Valid Nursing Council Registration.
- BLS certification preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients.
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythm,



vital signs and clinical condition.
- Identify and promptly report abnormal ECG changes and deterioration in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV fluids and other treatments as prescribed.
- Assist doctors during emergency procedures and cardiac interventions.
- Ensure readiness and secure operation of defibrillators, monitors and emergency equipment.
- Maintain accurate nursing records and timely documentation.
- Follow infection control, biomedical waste management and patient safety protocols.
- Participate in CPR, resuscitation and emergency response activities.
- Educate and support patients and relatives as appropriate.
- Participate in departmental training and quality improvement activities.
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures and NABH standards.
