About the Role

We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting, financial records, fee collections, banking, statutory compliance and financial reporting of the institution.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Tally/ERP, GST, TDS, bank reconciliation, fee accounting and educational-institution accounting, with excellent attention to detail and financial discipline.

Required Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / equivalent qualification preferred.
- Solid practical knowledge of accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of Tally Prime / accounting ERP and MS Excel.
- Working knowledge of GST and TDS.
- Good understanding of bank reconciliation and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
- Record all receipts, payments, purchases, expenses and journal entries.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and maintain ledgers, vouchers and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper classification of income and expenses.
- Maintain separate accounting records for relevant entities, branches or activities as required.
- Perform monthly closing of accounts.

2. Student Fee Accounting

- Maintain student-wise fee records.
- Record tuition fees, hostel fees and other student-related receipts.
- Monitor outstanding fees and prepare ageing reports.
- Coordinate with the admissions and administration teams regarding fee collections.
- Reconcile fee collections with bank statements and payment gateways.
- Generate regular fee collection and outstanding reports.




- Follow up on pending payments as per institutional policies.

3. Banking & Reconciliation

- Maintain records of all bank transactions.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation for all bank accounts.
- Verify deposits, withdrawals, transfers and charges.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare cash-flow and bank-position reports for Management.
- Maintain proper documentation for all banking transactions.

4. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

- Assist in timely preparation and filing of GST returns.
- Maintain GST-related records and reconciliations.
- Calculate and account for TDS wherever applicable.
- Prepare TDS statements and coordinate with consultants for timely filing.
- Maintain statutory registers and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountants, auditors and tax consultants.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and taxation requirements.

5. Payroll & Employee Accounts

- Assist in monthly payroll processing.
- Maintain employee salary records.
- Process salary payments and related accounting entries.
- Account for deductions, reimbursements and advances.
- Coordinate with HR/Management regarding employee financial records.
- Maintain proper documentation for salary-related transactions.

6. Accounts Payable & Vendor Management





- Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders/approvals.
- Process vendor payments after appropriate authorization.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and outstanding-payable reports.
- Reconcile vendor accounts periodically.
- Ensure that payments are supported by proper documentation and approvals.

7. Financial Reporting

Prepare regular financial reports for Management, including:

- Monthly income and expenditure statement
- Fee collection report
- Outstanding fee report
- Bank and cash position
- Vendor outstanding report
- Salary/payroll report
- Budget vs. actual expenditure
- Receivables and payables
- Monthly management accounts

8. Audit & Documentation

- Maintain complete and organized accounting records.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents required for statutory audits.
- Coordinate with auditors and Chartered Accountants.
- Respond to audit queries and provide required documentation.
- Ensure proper filing of invoices, receipts, vouchers, bank statements and statutory records.
- Maintain an audit-ready accounting system throughout the year.

9. Internal Financial Controls

- Ensure every transaction has appropriate authorization and supporting documentation.
- Monitor cash handling and daily collections.
- Establish proper controls over receipts and payments.
- Identify accounting discrepancies, unusual transactions or control weaknesses.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and student information.
- Ensure segregation of duties wherever applicable.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
