GeM Computer OperatorPosition Overview

The GeM Computer Operator is responsible for managing all activities on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Portal, ensuring timely uploading, bidding, documentation, compliance, and coordination with departments and vendors. The role demands accuracy, speed, and strong understanding of procurement workflows.

Key Responsibilities

GeM Portal Management — Create, update, and maintain organisation profile, user accounts, and vendor details on the GeM portal.

Product & Service Listing — Upload catalogues, specifications, pricing, and compliance documents as per GeM norms.

Bid Participation — Search relevant bids, prepare documentation, submit quotations, and track bid status.

Order Processing — Manage Purchase Orders (PO), Sales Orders (SO), invoice uploads, and delivery confirmation.

Documentation Handling — Maintain records of bids, POs, invoices, performance certificates, and compliance documents.

Vendor & Department Coordination — Communicate with buyers/sellers for clarifications, approvals, and issue resolution.

Report Generation — Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on bids, orders, revenue, and portal activities.

Compliance & Policy Adherence — Ensure all activities follow GeM procurement guidelines and organisation policies.

Issue Resolution — Coordinate with GeM helpdesk for technical or procedural issues. General Office Support — Assist in documentation, data entry, and administrative tasks.Required Skills & Competencies

Computer Proficiency — MS Office, PDF tools, email communication,



data entry. GeM Portal Knowledge — Hands-on experience with GeM bidding, cataloguing, and procurement workflows.

Documentation Skills — Ability to prepare official documents, quotations, and compliance files. Communication Skills — Clear coordination with departments, vendors, and government buyers.

Attention to Detail — Accuracy in data entry, bid submission, and document uploads. Time Management — Ability to handle multiple bids and deadlines efficiently.

Eligibility Criteria Education: Graduate (B.Com/BBA/BCA preferred). Experience: 1–2 years of experience in GeM portal operations or procurement support. Freshers are welcomed.

Accuracy of documentation Timely processing of orders Compliance adherence Quality of coordination with stakeholdersCompensation Structure (CTC) Fixed Component: ₹ 15,000 per month Variable Component: ₹ 5,000 per month (Performance-Based) Productivity Linked Incentive (PLI): 1% on Total Sale (excluding GST)

Example: If monthly sale = ₹10,00,000 (excluding GST)▪ PLI = 1% = ₹10,000This structure ensures stable income plus performance-based earning potential

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
