About the role
The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end operations of our production factory floor, both in-house and outsourced, overseeing two teams: Hand embroiderers and shoe makers. The candidate should be comfortable multitasking across materials, timelines, quality, and people, and working cross-functionally with different business units.

Responsibilities

- Manage all factory operations end-to-end, across in-house and outsourced units, overseeing both karigars and shoe fitters
- Check materials and stock levels on an ongoing basis, and flag or place timely orders to avoid production delays
- Check and verify incoming materials, and track deliveries to ensure they arrive on schedule
- Manage day-to-day work allocation across karigars and shoe fitters
- Manage timelines for all products, and track progress against the expected timeline for each order
- Conduct quality control (QC) on products at each stage of production
- Control wastage and defects,



ensuring both are kept within defined thresholds
- Maintain and track the productivity of the karigars & shoe fitters.
- Manage rostering for both karigars and shoe fitters, planning ahead of leaves and busy periods (such as festivals/wedding season) to ensure adequate staffing at all times

Qualifications

- Prior experience managing a production floor or factory workforce, preferably in footwear, apparel, or a similar manufacturing setup
- Working knowledge of quality control processes and wastage/defect management
- Experience with materials/stock management and coordinating with vendors on ordering and deliveries
- Robust organisational and planning skills, particularly around scheduling and workforce rostering
- Ability to manage multiple products and timelines simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong ability to multitask
- Comfortable to converse in Hindi, Bengali and English.
- Comfort working with and managing a diverse floor workforce
