Job Summary
We are looking for an Electronics Engineer to design, develop, test, troubleshoot, and support the manufacturing of Marine Growth Prevention Systems (MGPS), ICCP systems, and marine electrical/electronic control panels.
The role involves hands-on work with electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, PLCs, HMI systems, control logic, wiring, testing, commissioning, and coordination with production and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
Electronics & Control Systems
- Design, develop, modify, and improve electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, control systems, and marine control panels.
- Prepare and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, panel layouts, and technical documentation.
- Work on control units, transformer/rectifier systems, monitoring systems, and associated marine equipment.
- Conduct functional and electrical testing of PCBs, control panels, power supplies, sensors, and completed systems.
- Troubleshoot issues at component, PCB, wiring, panel, and complete system level.
- Support production teams during PCB assembly, panel wiring, testing, and final assembly.
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and modification of new marine electronic products.
- Identify design and manufacturing issues and recommend improvements to system reliability, safety, performance, and manufacturability.
PLC & Programming
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for MGPS systems, control panels, and marine automation applications.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, timers, counters, relays, sensors, and other control devices.
- Develop control logic for automatic/manual operation, alarms, interlocks, fault detection, system protection, and equipment sequencing.
- Configure and troubleshoot digital and analog PLC I/O.
- Integrate PLCs with sensors, pumps, dosing systems, rectifiers, contactors, relays, and monitoring equipment.
- Develop and modify HMI screens for system monitoring, parameter setting, alarms, fault indication, and status display.
- Work with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus RTU/TCP, RS485, Ethernet, and other relevant protocols.
- Conduct PLC program testing, debugging, simulation, and commissioning.
- Maintain proper documentation of PLC programs, control logic, I/O lists, parameter settings, and software revisions.
- Troubleshoot PLC and automation issues at programming, I/O, communication, and hardware levels.
- Support commissioning teams with PLC/HMI programming and system integration onboard vessels and at customer sites.
Testing, Troubleshooting & Quality
- Perform functional testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of complete MGPS systems and control panels.
- Use equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, insulation testers, signal generators, and other electronic test equipment where required.
- Conduct fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis for electronic, electrical, PLC, wiring, and system-level failures.
- Prepare and maintain test reports, inspection records, failure analysis reports, and troubleshooting documentation.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department to identify recurring defects and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure products meet applicable marine standards, project specifications, drawings, and company quality requirements.
Production & Engineering Support
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, R&D;, Electrical, Procurement, and Service teams.
- Provide technical support during assembly, panel wiring, testing, inspection, and final product preparation.
- Review production issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Support engineering changes, component substitutions, and product improvements.
- Ensure engineering drawings, BOMs, software, and technical documents are updated following design changes.
Installation & Commissioning
- Assist with installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of MGPS and control systems at shipyards, vessels, and customer sites.
- Support service teams in resolving electronic, PLC, HMI, communication, and control-system issues.
- Travel to customer/project sites within India
- Prepare commissioning and service reports following site activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- 4 or more, years of relevant experience in electronics manufacturing, industrial automation, control panels, marine systems, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of analog and digital electronics.
- Knowledge of PCB circuits, electronic components, power supplies, sensors, relays, contactors, and control systems.
- Good understanding of PLC programming and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with HMI programming/configuration and PLC-HMI communication.
- Knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP, RS485, Ethernet, and other industrial communication protocols.
- Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, wiring, communication, and control-system faults.
- Proficiency with multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering/rework equipment, and electronic testing instruments.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, Altium, KiCad, or similar software is desirable.
- Knowledge of microcontrollers, embedded systems, or industrial instrumentation will be an advantage.
- Experience with PLC platforms such as Siemens, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, Delta, or similar will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
