- Plan and supervise daily production activities as per the production schedule.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Allocate manpower and workstations effectively according to production requirements.
- Monitor machine utilization, production output, downtime, rejection, and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process parameters.
- Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and delays.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with Quality team to control rejection, rework, and process-related quality issues.
- Ensure availability and proper utilization of raw materials, tools, fixtures, and consumables.
- Maintain production records, shift reports, rejection reports, downtime reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to 5S practices on the shop floor.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Train, guide, and motivate operators and production workers.
- Monitor operator performance, discipline, attendance, and work allocation.
- Implement productivity and process-improvement initiatives.
- Support Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous-improvement activities.
- Investigate production problems and implement preventive and corrective actions.




- Ensure proper handling and care of machines, tools, gauges, and equipment.
- Conduct shift handovers and communicate production status and pending issues.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with applicable quality and safety systems.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of engineering/manufacturing production processes.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, assembly, or relevant manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand technical specifications.
- Knowledge of production planning and shop-floor management.
- Basic knowledge of quality tools such as 7 QC tools, CAPA, and root-cause analysis.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and productivity improvement.
- Good manpower-management and leadership skills.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Basic computer knowledge, including MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
