About the Role

We're looking for a QA Engineer to own quality for SiteWALL, our WAF product, across both web application and API surfaces. You'll design test cases, execute manual testing to understand product flow deeply, and then automate regression coverage using Selenium — working closely with the engineering team through every release cycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Write detailed, well-structured test cases covering web application UI flows and REST/API endpoints
- Perform manual (exploratory and scripted) testing to validate new features, bug fixes, and edge cases before release
- Build and maintain Selenium-based automation suites to convert manual test cases into repeatable regression tests
- Collaborate closely with the engineering team to understand product architecture, user flows, and upcoming changes so test coverage stays current
- Design and execute API test cases (functional, negative, boundary) using tools such as Postman or REST-assured
- Log, triage, and track defects clearly — with steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual behavior, logs/screenshots, and severity
- Participate in sprint planning and release cycles, providing QA sign-off before deployment
- Maintain and improve test documentation: test plans, test case repositories, and automation coverage reports
- Continuously identify gaps in test coverage and propose improvements to testing process and tooling

Must-Have Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver (Java or Python) for web UI automation




- Solid understanding of test case design — for both web applications and RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST-assured, or similar) and concepts (status codes, auth headers, request/response validation)
- Experience with manual testing methodologies: functional, regression, smoke, exploratory
- Comfortable reading and understanding product flows/architecture to design meaningful test scenarios, not just scripted checklists
- Familiarity with a test/bug tracking tool (Jira, TestRail, or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of HTTP, browsers, and web application behavior

Good-to-Have Skills

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) for running automated test suites
- Familiarity with TestNG/JUnit or similar test frameworks for structuring Selenium suites
- Basic scripting ability (Python/Java/Shell) for test data setup or utility scripts
- Understanding of web security concepts
- Experience testing multi-tenant SaaS products

- A tester who thinks like a user first and an automation engineer second — automation should follow good manual test design, not replace it.
- Someone comfortable working directly with developers, asking questions, and pushing back on unclear specs.

What You'll Work On

You'll be testing SiteWALL's web console (customer-facing dashboards, configuration screens, reporting views) and its backend APIs, across a multi-tenant workplace. You'll work alongside the engineering team through feature development and release cycles, helping ensure quality before anything reaches customers.

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
