About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and quality-focused Engineer – Quality to join our Incoming Quality team at Hosur. The role will be responsible for ensuring that incoming materials and components received from suppliers meet the required quality standards, specifications, drawings, and control plans.

The candidate will work closely with Suppliers, Purchase, Stores, Production, and Internal Quality teams to identify quality issues, control non-conforming materials, and drive continuous improvement in supplier quality.

Key Responsibilities of Incoming Quality

- Inspect incoming materials as per specifications and control plans.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional checks.
- Verify supplier documentation, COA (Certificate of Analysis), and test reports.
- Segregate and control non-conforming materials.
- Raise supplier quality concerns and corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection records and quality reports.
- Support supplier audits and quality improvement activities.

Common Incoming Quality KPIs

- Incoming PPM (Parts Per Million defects)
- Supplier Defect Rate
- First Pass Acceptance Rate




- Supplier Corrective Action Closure Rate
- Incoming Inspection Rejection Rate

Typical Workflow

- Receive material.
- Verify documents and part identification.
- Perform inspection as per sampling plan.
- Accept material and release to stores/production, or
- Reject and quarantine non-conforming material.
- Communicate issues to suppliers and track corrective actions.

Qualification & Experience

· Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

· Relevant experience in Incoming Quality / Supplier Quality / Quality Inspection, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.

· Candidates with experience in automotive components and supplier quality management will be preferred.
